HERE Technologies recently announced a series of strategic agreements at Auto China 2026 in Beijing, headlined by a new collaboration with Baidu Maps to provide advanced navigation and intelligent driving solutions for global automakers.

The memorandum of understanding between HERE and Baidu Maps aims to bridge the gap for international car manufacturers entering the Chinese market and Chinese brands expanding overseas, the company said. By combining HERE’s global map data with Baidu’s domestic coverage and lane-level navigation, the partnership will offer a unified map and software architecture.

HERE makes a number of deals and product roll outs, including Navigation on Autopilot, to strengthen its position in the China auto market (HERE Technologies).

Also at the conference HERE and Lotus announced the debut of an integrated navigation and Highway Navigation on Autopilot system for overseas markets, marking the first deployment of such technology by a Chinese automaker outside its home market. The system combines navigation, safety and automated driving functions using an AI-powered live map to deliver more consistent highway driving assistance across regions.

Building on its momentum in the region, HERE also announced an intensified collaboration with NEU-EHC to accelerate the global expansion of Navigate on Pilot (NOA) systems. The two companies will integrate HERE’s high-definition mapping data into NEU-EHC’s intelligent driving stacks to provide safer and more reliable hands-off driving experiences. The partnership specifically targets the rapid delivery of highway and urban NOA capabilities for new vehicle models destined for European and North American markets.

To support these automated systems, the location data company introduced its AI-powered Live Map Intelligence at the show. The new service uses machine learning and real-time sensor data from millions of vehicles to provide instantaneous updates on road conditions, hazards and lane changes.

Rounding out its presence at Auto China, HERE expanded its partnership with Mengqing to deploy intelligent navigation solutions for China’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. The agreement focuses on truck-specific routing and fuel-efficient guidance systems for heavy-duty logistics fleets.
